Bonsai wire is available from 1.0 mm which you would use to wire the smallest and most delicate foliage to 4.5 MM which serves to bend large branches and even some trunks.
This is bronze anodized aluminum wire available by size or as a set.
1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 MM rolls are approx 25 feet of wire
2.5 and 3.0 MM rolls are approximately 15 feet
3.5, 4.0 and 4.5 MM rolls are approximately 10 ft

I am new to Bonsai and found that I didn't have the right wires for shaping my current trees (the wires I had weren't stiff enough for the larger trunk / branches) and I didn't know what I needed. In talking with the staff on the phone, I had a much better appreciation of what I would need. I also found that buying the set of wires was a lot cheaper than buying multiple individual wires, which gives me a good collection to use and learn with.
I got the multi set as I have a few trees at various stages of growth, and so far so good! It's great quality wire, and a great way to make sure you have a bit of everything on hand.
